The results are in from my latest golf fitness survey and I’ll share the results with you now.
As the year winds down, I think a lot of us have internal debates about what changes and improvements we’d like to make. It’s a good time to reflect.
And I use the answers from the surveys to craft new fitness and lesson plans to assist you reaching you goals.
One of the benefits of conducting these surveys and running our challenges is getting to know students on a personal level. We get together for golf, lunch, and interact through social media.
And one of the true rewards is seeing the progress some of our members have made.
It feels GOOD to know I’m making some sort of difference in this world. And it’s inspiring to see others, just like you, excel at changing their lives for the better.
For example, there’s Paul Roch who went from roughly 200 pounds to around 170 pounds in 1 year. And Larry Horrie who took his game from the high 80’s and low 90’s down into consistent 70’s. But he’s not done, he wants to break 70.
What are your goals and dreams for next season?
Maybe you could shed a few pounds and shave a few strokes just like Paul and Larry… 😉
And as promised, here are the results from the survey…
QUESTION 1: How’s your body fat right now?
The responses ranged from Lose 5-10 pounds to lose 10+ pounds. Hands down… 10+ pounds was the big winner.
QUESTION 2: How much sleep do you get per night?
Wide array of answers here, but the average was 6 to 7 hours. I think it’s probably less than this though in reality.
QUESTION 3: What type of golf workouts interest you the most?
Flexibility and Stretching topped the charts with weight loss next. Surprisingly, adding more distance was in third place.
QUESTION 4: What’s your NUMBER ONE GOAL for your golf game in 2019?
A lower handicap and more consistency were basically tied. If you ask me, those are essentially the same.
QUESTION 5: What’s the NUMBER ONE REASON you exercise?
Maintain or lose weight and stay healthy so you can remain active were both tied.
QUESTION 6: What’s your NUMBER ONE challenge/struggle you face when it comes to golf fitness?
Time. Not finding time to make it happen or not putting in the effort was the big winner here.
QUESTION 7: What’s the NUMBER ONE PART OF YOUR GAME you need the most HELP with to get you to the next level of success?
Surprisingly, even though golfers said flexibility and stretching was #1 to them… on this they answered distance and accuracy and also motivation and mindset (second place).
QUESTION 8: What types of golf fitness programming/content would you like me to make?
Strength and flexibility. Similar to question 3 above, but asked in a different way to get your true opinion. These were all over the map honestly.
Pretty interesting results wouldn’t you say?
