So what are the 4 tips Brent Cryer, PGA suggested to help you break 80, 90, or 100?
1. Grip
2. Ball Position
3. Posture
4. Alignment
I like to think of these as the foundation of the golf swing. Pieces of the puzzle that allow you to hit the ball on target easily.
[———–STAY TUNED-———–]
ALL this week I’ve got some great content for you that will turn you in to a Jedi master of these four fundamentals..
- Golf drills
- Exerecises and stretches
- Instructional video’s from master PGA Teaching Professionals
- All focused on mastering the four fundamentals
It only takes one out-of-tune fundamental to see poor shots occur.
After posting Brent’s 4 Tips to my Facebook wall, there were a few golfers who dismissed these items as being too simplistic.
They claimed they had ‘mastered’ these techniques…
… they suggested that short game was key, practicing more, and even quitting their job were more important.
- Your short game can rock, but if you can’t get it in the fairway and on the green consistently, you will never score well. You’ll always be scrambling.
- You can practice all you want, but if you are chasing your tail, you are wasting time.
- You can quit your job, but who’s gonna pay for that $500 golf bag you’ve been wanting?
Yes, these are all valid points (they will all help lower your golf score)…
IF the following is true …
… your grip is as good or better than Ben Hogan’s.
… your ball position is as good or better than Ernie Els.
… your posture is as good or better than Tiger Woods.
… your alignment is as good or better than Sergio Garcia’s.
Sound ridiculous?
I’m here to tell you right now, master grip, posture, alignment, and ball position and you can become a single handicap golfer…and stop chasing your tail.
You see … all of these things happen before the swing.
You can control all of these factors before the club ever moves an inch!
There is no reason on earth (barring physical problems) that you can not achieve the same basic fundamentals as the greatest golfers on earth.
You also need to be in decent physical shape to be able to create good posture.
So check back tomorrow, I’ve put together a golf fitness workout that focuses on stretching and strengthening the muscles and also helping to improve mobility… so you can maintain your posture during the backswing and through to impact.
Strength, flexibility, mobility… are all ESSENTIAL for proper posture.
It doesn’t matter what golf swing you use.
And if you just want to jump ahead of everyone, here’s a link to help you do just that:

PS – I’ve found some great video’s that really break down these four fundamentals… it really took a long time to find them, but these are pure gold. I’ll be sharing those with you very soon.
