I’ve mentioned how I’ve evolved over the years, upgrading my training and nutrition by MINIMIZING.
And I’ve also tried every workout under the sun… as well as getting certified with many different PT models.
Most of them have been useless… and for golf, we need a different approach than traditional workouts offer.
However, many different styles offer gold nuggets here and there we can borrow.
We take these nuggets and plug them into a formula we know that works for golf. We don’t diss them entirely, we use their best aspects and discard the rest.
Bodybuilding, powerlifting, and Crossfit workouts aren’t going to cut it as a whole for the golfer.
Most of those are a waste of time for the golfer looking for an edge. Not to say they do not get results, they do, but for their unique design.
For a golfer, we need something custom-made for the demands golf places onto our body… as well as a program designed to deliver better performance.
With that said, here’s what I’ve discovered are major roadblocks to golfers…
7 main REASONS golfers don’t get results:
1. No progressive overload
2. Using the wrong exercises
3. Too much volume (too many reps and sets)
4. Too much cardio
5. Too much intensity (ALWAYS training to or beyond failure)
6. Extremely low carb diets
7. Not enough rest, recovery, or mobility work
Are you guilty of any of those? Using the same weights, over training and not recovering properly?
Some people are stimulus addicts and are always wanting to do more. I can relate, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work.
I’ve created programs that do work though…
Designed for the average golfer, busy people who are short on time… and for those who don’t want to spend their life in the gym full time.
